Outdoor Pens
Between 4 and 5 weeks of age, calves are brought to our on-site finisher barn. As part of our evolution, we have implemented accessible outdoor pens from our finisher barn.
The calves are allowed to spend several hours outside – weather and temperature are monitored to ensure comfort of calves.
After some careful observations over the past 2 years, we have enlarged and improved our outdoor calf pen. We have increased the sq. footage per animal to 3 times the European standard and now allow outdoor access all day long. So far the calves love it! ~ Jurian Bartelse
